Kate Kandalina and Alexandr Al’O’Khin, the Alissid Jazz founder, were presenting their Russian jazz/electro music at the 2005 WOMEX trade fair. An unusual place for a semi-improvised exchange in keeping with the group’s iconoclastic approach to music. It was first broadcast by World Tracks, the weekly music programme by Radio France International.
